Medifast Diet Celebrities

Medifast is a tried-and-tested system for weight loss that has improved the lives and health of over 1 million people since 1980. It has been clinically proven to help dieters lose weight faster and more effectively than other more traditional programmes, and according to Medifast, over 20,000 physicians have endorsed and recommended the diet since its development. In addition to these proponents, Medifast also has many testimonials and success stories from famous people. Some prominent Medifast celebrities include Kristy Swanson and Genie Francis - let's take a look at their stories.

Actress Kristy Swanson, best known for her work in 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Skating with Celebrities', gained 15 pounds over the course of a year and decided to take up the Medifast plan. The first of the Medifast celebrities, she lost 25 pounds rapidly and easily, and has now encouraged her mother to join the programme to help her lose weight.

Actress Genie Francis, known for appearances on 'General Hospital', is another of these Medifast celebrities who endorse the diet's cosmetic and health benefits. Having tried a wide range of diets and weight loss plans, she had become frustrated when the weight always returned shortly after stopping the diet. Genie Francis adopted the Medifast plan and lost 28 pounds, dropping to a svelte size 6 in time for the filming of her new movie – and the weight has not returned.

Jacqueline Laurita of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' also endorses the Medifast diet plan. She joined the program to lose the weight she had gained whilst pregnant with her son, who was born in June 2009. With the aid the Medifast diet plan and plenty of regular exercise, Jacqueline Laurita lost 50 pounds and returned to her pre-pregnancy weight. Jacqueline was struck by the success and ease of the diet after losing 12 pounds in the first week alone. Since losing the extra weight, Jacqueline says that she feels more at ease in front of the cameras and has gained a new found confidence that she intends to show off when 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' returns to network TV.

Denise Giesbers was one of the finalist nominees for People's special weight loss issue. In 2009, Denise weighed over 300 pounds, but in two years she has shrunk to half that size with the help of the Medifast diet plan. After losing eight pounds in the first week, she knew she had found a winning solution, and now enjoys new confidence and health.
